What’s New at Walt Disney World Resort in 2019

Magic Kingdom

Mickey and Minnie are celebrating 90 magical years for all of 2019 with their fun surprise celebration! Meet Mickey and Minnie together in Town Square Theater with their birthday outfits and take part in the celebration with delicious birthday treats! Mickey’s 90th birthday is a huge celebration around the world!

Another fun new entertainment offering is the Move It, Shake It, Mousekedance It Street Party! Get your ears on with a catchy song, dance in the streets with your favorite characters and stay for some fun surprises to celebrate Mickey and Minnie!

Epcot

Epcot is bringing exciting new experiences this year! The Epcot International Festival of the Arts returns with expanded offerings, including the popular Disney on Broadway concert series.

The Epcot nighttime spectacular, Illuminations, is leaving and will be temporarily replaced by Epcot Forever, a nighttime show that honors the history of Epcot.

New in the World Showcase is going to be the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along show located in the France pavilion. The show was created by the producer of the live-action “Beauty and the Beast” film, Don Hahn. The whole family will love singing some classic tunes together!

Hollywood Studios

2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’re definitely celebrating all year long with new attractions, shows, and limited-time offerings throughout the theme park.

Pixar has taken over with brand-new character meets, food and fun! Set to open in March 2019 is the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy, an interactive show featuring everyone’s favorite Cars from Radiator Springs and beyond. Meet your monster friends Mike and Sulley, or get fashion advice from the one and only Edna Mode.

Also set to open in Spring 2019 is the first attraction to star Mickey Mouse! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway promises to take guests on a fun adventure with beloved characters. Hollywood Studios’ actual anniversary is May 1st, 2019, and they’re set to debut the brand new nighttime projection show The Wonderful World of Animation as a tribute to all of the Walt Disney Company’s animated features.

And of course, you can’t forget about the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge set to open in late 2019. This fully-immersive land will feature brand-new attractions, delicious dining, and unforgettable experiences. 2019 is the perfect year to plan a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an adventure the whole family will enjoy!

Animal Kingdom

The Lion King is a beloved Walt Disney film, and in 2019 is celebrating both the 25th anniversary of the original film and the premiere of the all-new Live-Action film. While the park already features the timeless Festival of the Lion King show, guests will get to dance and sing with favorite characters at the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party! This exciting street party is a limited edition offering available until September 30th, 2019.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is the place to be for fun and excitement in 2019! Set to open this Summer is the NBA Experience, which will feature 13 immersive experiences to make you feel like you’re part of the team! Visit Disney Springs this year for basketball-focused dining, shopping, and gaming.
