A Theme Park a Step Ahead of the Rest

Epic Universe was first announced to the world back in 2019, with Chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation, Brian Roberts, emphasizing at the time that it was going to be the single largest investment Comcast NBC Universe had ever made in the state of Florida or in the theme park business. As plans have continued to be revealed little by little, it’s become clear that Epic Universe is a park of an entirely new magnitude on the map. In total, Epic Universe manages to double the size of Universal Studios Resort, thanks to its 750-acre expansion footprint, which gives visitors plenty of reasons to linger even longer, enjoying the whimsical and imaginative fun ahead. Epic Universe will be the fourth park to the Universal Resort lineup and has earned its place as the largest Universal theme park in the U.S. and the second largest in the world, just behind Universal Studios Beijing.

Booking Your Place at Epic Universe

Currently, tickets to Epic Universe will vary depending on when you’re planning to travel this way to explore the park’s many lands. Visitors who are excited to check out Epic Universe prior to June 1, 2025, will need to buy a multi-day ticket spanning at least three entrance days with one of those days dedicated to Epic Universe and the rest allowing for entrance to Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Volcano Bay. After June 1, 2025, visitors will be allowed to purchase single-day tickets to Epic Universe or two-day tickets with single-day access to the new land. There will also be options within this timeframe to invest in a two-day ticket with park-to-park privileges. Single day tickets are currently open to the public while the park is in preview. You can find those tickets on their ticketing site.

An Incredible Addition to the Universal Experience

Epic Universe has been designed to encompass the majority of the beginning of Universal Resort’s south campus, and guests will find it east of Universal Boulevard and south of Sand Lake Road. Visitors are sure to be delighted by the wheel-and-spoke layout of the park, which is reminiscent of the design approach Disney used back in the 1950s. The park is set up with a central hub and spokes that lead out to various lands to explore. Counting the central hub, there are five lands to discover and more than 50 attractions, eateries, retail spaces, and entertainment experiences across Epic Universe. Celestial Park works as the central hub and entrance to Epic Universe and spokes of the layout lead to Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk.

Major Attractions to Check Out

Each magical land that makes up Epic Universe hosts an array of incredible attractions suitable for guests of all ages and interests. At Celestial Park, there’s the Starfall Racers dual-launch racing coaster, which towers 133 feet up across 5,000 feet of track and reaches speeds of up to 62 mph. Celestial Park also hosts Constellation Carousel and the Astronomica water play space in addition to gorgeous gardens, waterways, and scenic pathways to explore. Super Nintendo World invites guests to purchase a power-up band to collect coins throughout the land, and there’s no shortage of options for fun meet-and-greets with characters like Bowser, Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Top attractions here include Mine-Cart Madness, Super Mario Land, and Yoshi’s Adventures. Once you make your way to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Ministry of Magic, attractions not to miss out on include the Battle at the Ministry as well as the incredible show put on for guests titled Le Cirque Arcanus. Dark Universe showcases attractions like Monsters Unchained and Curse of the Werewolf, while How to Train Your Dragon features exciting experiences like Dragon Racer’s Rally, Fyre Drill, and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.

Delicious Dining Stops

In addition to thrilling attractions and performances to enjoy at each land in Epic Universe, this expansion is packed with delicious dining options as well. Celestial Park hosts the Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant, Pizza Moon, Atlantic, and the Oak & Star Tavern. If you find yourself in Super Nintendo World with serious cravings to curb, places like Turbo Boost Treats, Toadstool Café, and Yoshi’s Snack Island have you covered. Over at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Ministry of Magic, you can find your fill of fantastic French fare at K. Rammelle, or Café d’air de la Sirène. Of course, no trip this way is quite complete without enjoying a butter beer from the Bieraubuerre Cart. When you’re exploring How to Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk, you’ll want to be sure to treat yourself to a meal at the Spit Fyre Grill. Over at Dark Universe, destinations like De Lacey’s Cottage, Das Stakehouse, and The Burning Blade Tavern are not to be missed.
